The fastest way to lose guest photos is to make people work for it. Apps that need a download, a sign-up, and a verification email get opened by maybe half the room, and the other half forgets by the time the cake is cut.

WeddingLens removes all of that. Print a QR code on your table cards, drop a private link in your group chat, and guests upload the photos they took straight from their phone's browser. There is nothing to install. There is no account to create. There is no password to remember. They scan or tap, pick their photos, and the upload happens right there on the page they already have open.

That matters most for the guests who matter most: the aunt who doesn't download anything, the friend who hates giving out an email, the people whose candids you actually want. When the barrier is one scan, you get their photos too.

No app install, ever

WeddingLens runs entirely in the browser your guests already use. iPhone, Android, an old tablet someone brought, it doesn't matter. There is no App Store page, no Play Store listing, no large download competing with the venue Wi-Fi.

This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation. Asking a wedding guest to install software is asking them to trust an unknown app with storage permissions while they're holding a drink in the other hand. Most won't. By keeping everything web-based, WeddingLens meets guests where they are and gets out of the way.

No account, no login, no password

Guests never create an account with WeddingLens. They don't sign in, they don't set a password, and they don't hand over a login they'll reuse somewhere else. Access comes from the QR code or the private link you share, so the only people uploading are the people you invited.

Fewer steps is not just a convenience thing. Every required field is a place where a guest gives up. By cutting login out of the flow entirely, the path from "I took a great photo" to "it's in the couple's gallery" is as short as it can be.

You approve every photo before anyone sees it

Open upload is great until someone uploads the blurry shot, the duplicate, or the photo you'd rather not relive. WeddingLens puts you in control. Guest photos come to you first, privately. You review them and approve which ones appear in the shared gallery. Nothing goes public until you say so.

This is the part most no-app photo tools skip. WeddingLens is built the other way around: collect everything, then curate. You get the volume of a crowd-sourced album and the taste of a hand-picked one.

Privacy built into the upload, not bolted on

Photos carry hidden data. A typical phone photo embeds GPS coordinates, the camera and phone model, and timestamps in its EXIF metadata. Most photo-sharing tools pass that along untouched, which means a shared album can quietly leak the exact location of your venue, your home, or wherever the photo was taken.

WeddingLens strips EXIF location and camera metadata in the guest's browser before the photo is ever uploaded. The sensitive data is removed on the guest's own device, so it doesn't travel to a server and then get cleaned, it simply never leaves. Combine that with couple approval and a private, link-only gallery, and you get an album that's genuinely private by design.

Built to be fast on a phone at a venue

WeddingLens is built on Next.js and runs on Vercel, which means the upload page loads quickly even on a phone fighting for a signal at a reception hall. That's the practical reason a no-install browser experience can feel as smooth as a native app: the page is light, it loads fast, and the upload starts without a download standing in the way.

When the moment to capture a photo lasts about four seconds, the tool has to be ready instantly. A clean, fast mobile page is how WeddingLens earns the upload before the moment passes.
